Every year Epcot brings us the International Food & Wine Festival and surprises the palate.
This year is no exception with the wonderful offerings – from Beef Nigiri in Japan to authentic Apfel Strudel in Germany – it should take more than one visit to get in a proper taste around the world.

Some champagne from France, some pink grapefruit hefeweizen beer from Germany, a margarita from Mexico, a Frozen Caipirinha featuring LeBlon Cachaça – Chef Mickey recommends these and more. This time we added a pear cider from Ireland to our drink mix. It was really refreshing!
As they say at Disney – “an endless selection of cuisine and beverages”. Plenty to eat and drink. Be adventurous and try something new each time you go. We tried the scallops at Coastal Eats which was delicious. A friend tried the crab cake and wouldn’t share it was so good. Dessert was a Crepe with Nutella in France. Just the perfect amount of sweet to round off a fun evening of eats.
As if eating and drinking weren’t enough, there is also some marvelous music on offer during the Food & Wine Festival. Here’s the schedule of events so you can plan a visit to hear some blast from your past.
We were lucky enough to be there for one of Starship’s concerts. Mickey Thomas was singing with them this year. Music was pretty good and fun to sit through with some friends. I did get invited another night when Kenny G was playing, put passed on that one!
One the way out, we passed a very lively dance party with live DJ, some characters doing a conga line with guests. All in all, a very nice evening out in Orlando!
Highly recommend this Food & Wine Festival for any of our Orlando vacation rental home guests in town during the duration of the festival.
